We are excited to announce the first Student of the Month for 2019...Juliana Innocenti!
Juliana started Taekwondo at the age of 7 when she was first introduced to the sport at a Girls Scout bully buster workshop we hosted. She has since climbed the belt ranks and will be testing for her black belt soon! Exciting!
She is a current member of Team Chang - our invite-only competition team and has competed in several tournaments.
Juliana is a recent applicant for the Ben Carsons Scholarship where she wrote her essay about Taekwondo. She was the only student selected from Churchville Elementary! We wish her the best of luck in winning this $1,000 scholarship for college!
Master Jennifer says, "I am extremely proud to call Juliana a student of U.S. Taekwondo Academy. She gives her best whenever her foot touches the mat. Whether she is practicing her kicks in class, honing her techniques in sparring or is training hard with Team Chang, Juliana consistently shows up with determination, willingness to learn and push out of her comfort zone. She has a great attitude, which I greatly appreciate, and I look forward to seeing her attain her black belt in a few short months".
